Brandon Aiyuk's social media activity fuels Commanders' speculation
It's no secret that there's beef between wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk and his team, the San Francisco 49ers. It's been said that Aiyuk has taken his last snap with the Niners, and Aiyuk has made it clear that he doesn't want to return to the team.
One of the places he's been said to land is with the Washington Commanders. He already has a relationship with Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels from their time together at Arizona State, and Aiyuk has hinted that Washington is one of the places he'd be willing to go.
Now, though, it appears as if Aiyuk will only end up in one place. A recent look at his Instagram profile shows that Aiyuk follows exactly three accounts on Instagram:

Most husbands follow their wives on social media, so that's unsurprising. Actually, it's almost expected. That he follows Daniels and the Commanders both isn't all that surprising either. What's surprising is that he doesn't follow anyone else.
Aiyuk is making a statement. The 49ers are still hopeful they can trade him, but no team in the league will absorb his current contract. Especially since it's been made very clear that Aiyuk will not be a member of the 49ers when the season starts.
Unfortunately for Aiyuk, he is at the mercy of the 49ers. Until they release or trade him, he's sidelined and waiting in limbo. Once that happens, though, expect a flurry of activity, likely from the Commanders, as teams look to add the veteran to their roster.
