Britney Spears‘ ex-neighbour, Gavin Rossdale, is recalling some sweet moments with her. The musician recently sat down for an interview where he was asked about his time as a neighbor of the pop icon. The co-host asked Rossdale about his swimming routine with his former neighbor. As such, he praised Spears and talked about feeling lucky that he was living next to her.
Gavin Rossdale recalls swimming with his once-neighbor Britney Spears
In an episode of SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio, Gavin Rossdale remembered his experiences as Britney Spears’ neighbor. The show’s co-host Evan Real told the Bush’s leading man, “There is an interview that Britney Spears did forever ago, where she just randomly said, ‘One time I went swimming with Gavin Rossdale.” Real further asked, “Do you remember swimming with Britney Spears?”
Rossdale replied, “Of course, how could you forget that?” The 60-year-old continued, “We were neighbors, and so she came around when the kids were small, and she was a real character, and I got on really well with her.”
He went on to shower praises on the “Toxic” hitmaker, calling her “lovely” and “amazing.” Rossdale continued, “She’s a great swimmer.” Moreover, Real asked Rossdale if his kids played with Spears’ sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. The father of four hilariously replied that they were “too busy chatting with Britney!”

For those unversed, Spears talked about going swimming with Rossdale in a 2015 interview. The duo was seemingly living in the same neighborhood around 2007, when they were staying in a community in Beverly Hills.
In 2023, Rossdale penned down an emotional note for the Princess of Pop. He wrote, “I had the pleasure of waking up to @britneyspears dancing to glycerine. I looked at her page and amongst the fun I read her Acknowledgment of how good she is at hiding her pain.”
He continued, “It’s so liberating and essential when someone with Britney’s Reach addresses true and hidden feelings.” The singer concluded, “That way people can be inspired in the purest way to ask for help – to admit to their struggle – and to feel better.”
