Jared Leto Made Explicit, Vulgar Requests of 16-Year-Old Girl Before Suggesting They Have Sex, She Claims

A BBC documentary features allegations from 10 women about Jared Leto’s alleged inappropriate behavior between 2002 and 2016

One woman claimed Leto made explicit calls and suggested sex when she was 16 after meeting him in Los Angeles

Leto denied all allegations in a statement and previously faced similar accusations in a 2025 Air Mail report

One of Jared Leto‘s recent inappropriate sexual conduct accusers claims the actor suggested they have sex when she was 16.

The Tron: Ares actor, 54, was accused of criminal sexual conduct by four women who alleged the offenses took place when they were all teenagers in a new BBC documentary, Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret. Leto has since denied all accusations.

One of those women, whom the BBC identified as Etta (not her real name), said she and her mother met Leto when she was 16 outside the Ford modeling agency in Los Angeles. At that time, she recalled that Leto, who she said was 42 at the time, asked for her email address and wanted to invite her and her mother to an Academy Awards party. (Leto won Best Supporting Actor at the 2014 Oscars for his performance in Dallas Buyers Club.)

Etta said she declined the invitation but claimed Leto shared his phone number and told her, “Text me.” She told the BBC that after exchanging texts for a period of days, Leto began calling her from “a private number.” “I think he did his best to make sure there was no proof,” she said. Etta alleged that Leto’s calls “quickly” grew explicit, and he asked her questions like, “Are you a virgin?” “Do you have any kinks?” And whether she could “squirt.”

“He did at least once mention him and I having sex at some point,” she told the outlet. “I remember feeling nervous, a little anxious, a little uncomfortable, but at the time I remember I had a really hard time saying no to things, or putting boundaries up.”

Etta also alleged that Leto asked to share her phone number with a friend of his identified as “Christian,” who also called her frequently and “wanted to hire me to shoot porn,” even though he was aware she was under 18. Etta said both Leto and “Christian” “were really obsessed with mentioning the possibility of squirting.” When asked if she had ever considered whether Leto and “Christian” were the same man placing those calls, she said, “I think it would not be that surprising if that ended up being the truth.”

“I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life,” Leto told PEOPLE in a statement shared by his representative on July 29. “These claims are absolutely and categorically false.”

Etta is among five women who spoke with the BBC and said they received strange phone calls from a man whom they understood to be Leto. Four of those women were teenagers at the time those interactions took place; three of them also told the BBC that they received calls from other men around that time. Etta said that she was sent an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) that would have prevented her from talking about her relationship with Leto, which the BBC reported it had viewed. Etta said she refused to sign that agreement.

A total of 10 women spoke with the BBC for its documentary, which airs on July 29. Nine of those women are sharing their stories publicly for the first time. Each of them alleges their encounters with Leto took place between 2002 and 2016.

The new allegations made against the actor come after multiple women accused him of sexual misconduct in June 2025. At the time, Air Mailpublished a story following interviews with nine women who claimed that Leto behaved inappropriately toward them, some while they were underage; they alleged a longstanding pattern of such behavior in that piece.

The allegations included Leto asking sexual questions to a 16-year-old girl, walking out of a room nude in front of a 17-year-old girl and exposing himself and masturbating before putting an 18-year-old’s hand “on him.”

In a statement to Air Mail, a representative for Leto “expressly” denied all allegations. A representative for Leto did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment at the time.

Leto most recently appeared on the big screen in Disney’s 2025 Tron movie Tron: Ares and Amazon MGM Studios’ June adaptation of Masters of the Universe. He most recently released an album with his band Thirty Seconds to Mars in 2023.

In Fall 2024, Deadlinereported that Leto was attached to produce and star in a movie titled Lunik Heist and another project titled Assassination. Neither movie appears to have been filmed yet.
