Kaia Gerber is looking more and more like her mom by the minute. Last night, the model-turned-actor stepped out to celebrate the New York City premiere of her new Ryan Murphy-directed thriller series, The Shards. For the occasion, she showed up in a timeless sparkling gown and a classic Hollywood blowout—making her the spitting image of Cindy Crawford.

As she joined co-stars Graham Campbell, Homer Gere, Hayes Warner, and Igby Rigney on the blue carpet, Gerber shimmered in a long naked dress, courtesy of Valentino. The piece was custom-made for the event, with delicate spaghetti straps and a low square neckline, from which sheer sequined mesh draped down to the floor with a relaxed column silhouette. All throughout, crystal embellishments created a diamond-pattern overlay.

Styled by Emma Jade Morrison, who was responsible for the star’s handful of press fits this past week, the gown was accessorized with chunky diamond studs, metallic sandal heels, and a little feathery bag.

Hairstylist Hos Hounkpatin gave Gerber’s brown waves that classic Hollywood blowout, with a dramatic side part and a bit of bounce that felt perfectly on-theme for a show taking place in the early 1980s. As for her makeup, beauty artist Jamal Scott focused on the eyes, giving the actor’s lashes some extra length and her eyelids some added shimmer. He finished off her glam with bronzed cheeks and glossy lips.

Billed as a part coming-of-age, part erotic-thriller series, The Shards takes viewers back to 1981 Los Angeles, following a group of high schoolers during the reign of a serial killer. It was adapted for television by Murphy from Bret Easton Ellis’s 2023 novel of the same name.
