Now, Roach says his “wedding has been postponed”
Law Roach isn’t walking down the aisle anytime soon.
The Project Runway judge, 48, sparked engagement rumors on Monday, May 4, when he stepped out wearing a massive 53-carat diamond ring by Leviev Diamonds on that finger at the 2026 Met Gala. Less than three months later on Monday, July 27, the stylist’s left-hand ring finger was bare at the Los Angeles premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, in which his longtime client Zendaya stars.
“Well, my wedding has been postponed,” Roach told Complex after being asked when his big day is. After laughing, he continued, “You know, but, whatever.”

When the reporter pressed for details on his rumored fiancé, whose identity has yet to be revealed, Roach responded with a smile, “Oh, I gotta go,” before quickly walking away.
At the 2026 Met Gala, Roach told Vogue livestream hosts Ashley Graham and Cara Delevingne that his diamond ring was a “gift” from a mystery man in his life, but he wouldn’t reveal if it was an engagement ring.
At the same event, he told Entertainment Tonight that he had a “secret” on his finger, and when asked who proposed, he answered, “Um, I want to keep that secret. You know, me and my sister are very private people.”

The following month on Sunday, June 7, Roach continued to respond coyly to the engagement speculation. He told E! News of his blinding diamond ring at the 2026 Tony Awards, “It’s still here. This ring has went nowhere, darling.”
He added at the time that he and his mystery man were still going strong, and if they were to split then at least he’d still have the ring.

“He’s still here, and we’re still here together,” he said, joking, “The ring is staying. Even if the man doesn’t, the ring is.”
Representatives for Roach did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
