Frankie Muniz is officially 40! As he celebrates this new milestone, the Malcolm in the Middle star is fully embracing life through raw and honest reflection.

The former child star marked the special occasion with a candid birthday message as he looked back on the unconventional path he took, from shifting his career from Hollywood to racing and becoming a family man.

Considered one of the popular child actors and the “IT” star in the early 2000s, he captivated the public with his infectious charm and striking acting skills in Agent Cody Banks, Big Fat Liar and of course, the iconic family sitcom.

However, he stepped away from the spotlight and found himself chasing his passion.

In a long and heartfelt post, Muniz celebrated his 40th birthday with a nostalgic message and at the same time, expressed disbelief at how his life had turned out.

“This is 40. Little kid me would’ve laughed if you said 2025 was real
or that I’d actually get here. I used to try picturing 40-year-old Frankie...what I’d look like, what I’d be doing...and it felt like science fiction. If you’d told 13-year-old me on the Malcolm set that I’d walk away from Hollywood, race trucks full-time in NASCAR, own a freaking olive oil store, become a husband, a dad, and somehow still get recognized as “that kid from the show” two decades later
I would’ve called you crazy,” he captioned his post.

Moreover, he also realized that entering his forties feels less like a finish line and more like a fresh start.

“But here’s the thing: the wild childhood is in the rear-view, the chaotic twenties are a blur, my thirties were where I finally figured out who I am when the cameras aren’t rolling
and now 40? 40 feels like the starting grid,” he added.

Concluding his birthday post, the actor expressed his gratitude to his “little family” and his excitement for what’s in store for him.

Muniz’s Instagram post sparked greetings and heartwarming messages from fans and even his former co-stars.

Malcolm in the Middle actor Justin Berfield greeted him with a simple “Happy birthday, bro!” The same went for Vaughan Murrae and Keeley Karsten, who also sent their well wishes.

Muniz’s racing career officially began in 2006 after he competed in the Formula BMW USA Championship.

Now he is with Reaume Brothers Racing and drives the No. 33 Ford F-150 full-time.
